Endeavour High School is a secondary school in Kingston upon Hull, England. It is a community school, which takes children from the age of 11 through to the age of 16. The school has approximately 900 pupils, but has the capacity to take 1,200.

The school opened in September 2001, as the result of merging two failing schools. It moved to its current, £15 million purpose-built site in 2003.[1]

In March 2004 Endeavour was placed on special measures, following an inspection by Ofsted. The school came out of special measures in December 2005, after making satisfactory progress due to improvements that the school had implemented.[2] Since its last inspection in July 2009 Endeavour was put into special measures again.

The school is bidding to become a DCSF specialist Arts College, specialising in ICT and Digital Media.[3][4]

Since the former head Mr Straker, left the school improved because of the new policies put in place. Most pupils are wearing full uniform and the only thing that is letting the school down is attendance and punctuality.

In 2010 the school achieved its best ever GCSE results with 73% of students leaving with 5 A*–C and 99% of pupils leaving with at least 1 GCSE A*–G, or equivalent pass.[5]

It has been rumoured the school could close in the summer of 2012 to make way for a training centre for eco-engineers with Siemens.[6]

However, due to change in politics around the area Endeavour High School is likely to stay open for the next few years.
